A beautiful Sight...

Observing sunset from above the clouds is a surreal experience and while I am unable to post my original photograph, I have posted a fairly similar image that captures the moment. The original photograph was taken on a flight to Sydney, over the Pacific ocean.

A Great Piece of Architecture : Dubai's PALM ISLANDS

http://www.flickr.com/photos/samuel-leo/3596858625/sizes/m/in/photostream/

Located on the Persian Gulf off the United Arab Emirates, the incredible Palm Islands are the largest man-made islands in the world. In a city which itself is a site of rapid architectural progress, the palm islands are one of the most eye-catching pieces of work. It was masterminded by the dredging technology of Dutch engineers and is now home to luxurious hotels, resorts and apartments. The architects of Palm Islands deserve acclaim for an ambitious concept that has used cutting edge technology on the inside to produce a landmark that is beautiful to the eye. To Think, there are even bigger similar projects taking place....INCREDIBLE

Model-making work...

I regard this model of the Norman Fisher house as the best piece of work I have produced. The model was created as part of the Model It ! workshop in the Architectural Communications course. The model not only showcased the internal space of the Fisher House but also the landscape that it sits on. While the model was a challenging prospect, I enjoyed translating every possible finer detail into it. Along with the Norman Fisher House itself, the model also demonstrates my preference to use physical modelling as a representation of ideas and also my attention to detail and precision.
